English early, French always.
Early English proficiency gives children a head start for everything they learn after, while French keeps them rooted in Benin’s school system.

A bilingual school in Cadjehoun, Cotonou, for children from 18 months to Grade 9.
Our story
The Busy Bees School opened in January 2001 with one idea: that a child’s first steps into school should feel safe and exciting, not frightening. That idea became our motto, “Entering school with confidence”.
Today we welcome children from 18 months of age and support their academic, social and emotional growth. Kindergarten is taught in English immersion, and primary and secondary pupils learn in English and French every day.

Our mission
What we commit to
Early English proficiency gives children a head start for everything they learn after, while French keeps them rooted in Benin’s school system.
We build respect, caring and compassion into everyday school life, from the classroom to the playground.
Small class sizes let teachers adapt to how each child learns, and notice early when someone needs a hand.
Cultural events, sports and shared activities bring families into school life throughout the year.
